One of the most common conditions we treat at Family Foot & Ankle Care Center is arch and/or heel pain. Faulty foot mechanics is almost always a contributing factor. By adding the proper arch support to your shoes, you can improve stability and decrease pain.
We have 3 types of Powerstep insoles available to our patients in the office:
Pro – Protech Full Length, Pulse Sport and Slenderfit
Pro – Protech Full length
Maximum cushioning with full support. Flexible shell with arch support, heel cradle for motion control and heel pad for cushion and heel protection.
Fits – casual, athletic and work shoes
Moderate cushioning with full support. Slimmer profile provides arch support without bulk. Antimicrobial top cover reduces friction, heat and perspiration.
Fits – a variety of shoe styles, such as tighter-fitting cleats, cycling or golf shoes.
Ultra-slim, tapered profile. Extra cushioning under the ball of the foot alleviates pressure for increased comfort and protection.
Fits – most women’s fashion shoes including high heels, wedges, pumps, boots, sandals and more!
Powerstep arch supports relieve the following:
- Plantar Fasciitis
- Heel or Arch Pain and Discomfort
- Fallen Arches
- Shin splints
- Sore, Aching feet
- Metatarsal Pain
- Muscle Cramps
- Other common foot conditions
When wearing full length inserts, we recommend that you remove the insole of your shoe and replace it with the Powerstep. Wearing both the insole and the Powerstep can make the shoe too tight.
Also, be sure to complete a gradual break in period. Start by wearing the Powerstep for 1-2 hours on day 1, 4 hours on day 2, 6 hours on day 3 and 8 hours on day 4. Skipping the break in period may lead to pain which could have been avoided.
Once you have tried Powerstep you will never go back to another arch support! Call our office to see if Powerstep insoles are right for you.
